Our 2026/27 Board
Who is holding the seats this year, and what each one is on the hook for.
Our voting closed on 7/31/26. Five members ran for five seats, and all five were elected.
An uncontested race is still worth running. Members scored every candidate through STAR Voting, which means the outcome is a record of what the membership actually thinks (at least those who voted), not a formality that happened to five people who filled out a form.
The Board
Connor Doherty,
President. Board meetings, external representation, and the software and systems side of operations.
Eric Spehr,
Treasurer. Accounts, dues, filings, and the budget everything else runs on.
Hunter Wright,
Secretary. Minutes, records, and member communications.
Greg Thibodeaux,
Director of Marketing and Outreach. Website, public communications, social, press, and fundraising events.
A new seat, and the member filling it
Chief Development Officer is a new role. It exists because the shop has outgrown the version of fundraising that happens in the margins of everyone else's job. Growing membership, a bigger equipment list, and the space we need next all cost money, and somebody has to be responsible for where that money comes from.
Steve is that somebody, and his path here is the one we describe on every page of this website, except he actually walked it.

Ken Runner steps down
